An English Man’s Home Is His Flat aims to raise awarness of the negative impact of the regenration of Elephant and Castle and how this affects locals. The Aylesbury Estate was once Europe’s largest Council Estate but is now being demolished and replaced by mainly luxury apartments with only a few proposed to be social. Social Housing is persistantly demonised by the press but residents voices go unheard, this book looks at the people inside the Aylesbury and reflects on their feelings towards their homes.
